The University Library at the University of North Bengal organized a special lecture on "William Shakespeare" on April 23rd, 2024 to celebrarte the World Book and Copyright Day.
The University Library at the University of North Bengal organized a special lecture on "William Shakespeare" on April 23rd, 2024. The event was commemorated on World Book Day, as declared by UNESCO, which also marks the birth anniversary of William Shakespeare. Dr. Binayak Roy, Head of the Department of English at the University of North Bengal, delivered the lecture.
The program was overseen by Prof. Mahendra Nath Roy, who holds the position of Dean for the Faculty Council for P.G Studies in Science and carries the additional responsibility of Dean for the Faculty Council for P.G Studies in Arts, Commerce & Law. The lecture took place at the University Library and drew an attendance of more than 80 individuals, including teachers, officers, and university students.
The lecture served as a significant educational and cultural event, providing attendees with valuable insights into the life and works of William Shakespeare. It also fostered a sense of appreciation for literature and the arts among the university community.
