The University Library organized the "2023 Annual J-Gate (JCCC)@E-Shodhsindhu Training and Awareness" program on 2nd March 2023 at the University Library. The aim of the program was to raise awareness and provide training for the effective use of library resources through J-Gate custom content for the Consortium
The program covered different aspects of the Bibliographic and gateway to e-journal literature including quantitative and qualitative aspects, and its importance in research and reference (R&R). The session was demonstrated by Mr. Mahendra Nath Sarkar, Manager, Research and Development, J-Gate in the presence of library officers and professionals.
A total of 86 faculties and research scholars attended the program, including those from science, arts, commerce, and law. The attendees were able to learn new skills and knowledge on how to utilize the J-Gate@E-Shodhsindhu database and other library resources effectively.
The program also provided an opportunity for attendees to interact and network with their peers and library officers. Such interactions fostered a culture of collaboration and learning within the academic community.
The 2023 Annual J-Gate (JCCC) @E-Shodhsindhu (JCCC) Training and Awareness Program was a success, achieving its objectives of raising awareness and providing training for the effective use of library resources. It is hoped that the attendees will apply the knowledge and skills learned to enhance their research and reference activities, thereby contributing to the advancement of their respective fields.
