Enhancing User Experience and Upholding Academic Excellence
Three Consecutive Events at the University of North Bengal, University Library on August 04th, 2023.
On 4th August 2023, the University of North Bengal University Library hosted three consecutive events that marked significant milestones in our continuous efforts to enhance the user experience and uphold academic excellence. The esteemed Vice-Chancellor of the University inaugurated the program, adding prestige to these events.
1) Inauguration of QR Code for Digital Payment for Library Fines and Other Fees: The day's first event was the official inauguration of the QR code technology for the digital payment of library fines and other fees. This advancement is crucial to creating a more efficient and user-friendly system for our valued library users. With the QR code technology implementation, transactions make it easier for users to pay fines and fees through their mobile devices. This move aligns with our commitment to embracing technology and providing a seamless experience to our users.
2) Felicitation of the Best Library User: During the second event, the library had the honour of felicitating the "Best Library User," Ms. Sunita Kumari Prasad, a postgraduate student from the Hindi Department. She has showcased exceptional dedication and enthusiasm in utilizing the library's resources to their fullest potential. This felicitation recognized the recipient's achievements and served as a source of inspiration for others. It exemplified the spirit of academic excellence at our institution's core.
3) Certificate-Giving Ceremony to the Internship Students: The third and final event of the day celebrated the successful completion of the internship program for the MLIS batch of the 2021-2023 session. Our university library takes immense pride in nurturing future professionals, and this certificate-giving ceremony was a testament to the hard work and academic growth demonstrated by our talented interns throughout their internship period. The presence of the Vice-Chancellor and esteemed guests further motivated and encouraged these young minds to continue their pursuit of knowledge and contribute to the academic community.
