On November 2nd, 2023, Bentham Science Publishers and the University Library, NBU jointly organized an Author Workshop.
On November 2nd, 2023, Bentham Science Publishers and the University Library of the University of North Bengal jointly organized an Author Workshop at the Information Hub at 11:30 AM. The workshop attracted around 84 participants, including teachers, officers, and research scholars.
Dr. Frans Lettenstrom, Global Licensing Head at Bentham Science Publishers, and Gareth Dyke, Director of Academic Relationships and Author Training at Bentham Science Publishers, were the keynote speakers. Dr. Lettenstrom spoke about "Open Access Publishing: A New Way to Share Your Research." He discussed the benefits of open-access publishing, such as increased visibility and readership, as well as the available open-access publishing models.
Mr. Dyke spoke "How to Write and Publish a Scientific Paper." He guided the writing and publishing stages, from choosing a topic to submitting a manuscript to a journal. He also discussed the importance of peer review and how to respond to reviewer comments.
The workshop was well-received by the participants, who found the information informative and helpful. The speakers were knowledgeable and engaging and answered all the participants' questions thoroughly.
